Red Wings Eye Stanley Cup Finals

Detroit (WWJ)  -- The Detroit Red Wings will have to wait until at least Monday to try to secure a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Wings lost to Dallas 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Joe Louis Arena in game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.  Detroit still leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.

Game six is Monday in Dallas.

Joel Lundqvist scored the game winning goal in the second period for Dallas.  The Stars have won two straight games.

Jiri Hudler scored for Detroit.

The Red Wings were unbeaten at home before Saturday's loss.

The Red Wings are trying to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since they won the NHL Championship in 2002.  Since then the team has had the most wins of any team, but hasn't won the Stanley Cup or even made the finals.
