Read To Succeed

Encourage your child to try reading again some of the books that they read during the school year.

What may have been a challenging read, or something you read to your child earlier this year, may now be much easier. You may even have your child reading books to you that he or she could not read in the fall.

Returning to favorite books is a good habit, as it allows your child to reconnect with familiar characters and themes, and promotes mastery learning.

Encourage your child to look for similar books by the same author or in the same series to keep reading over the summer months.
