Proposal Would Keep Great Lakes Water Here

Lansing (WWJ)  -- It's being called a historic deal to keep Great Lakes water...in the Great Lakes.

A deal approved by the State Senate would reserve all Great Lakes water for the eight states and two Canadian provinces that surround them--meaning it would be off limits to other states that are running dry.

All of the Great Lakes states and Congress need to ratify the proposal for it to take effect.
