Past and Present of Michigan

In one trip to downtown Detroit, you can see some of Michigan’s future and past, just across the street from one another.
At Campus Martius, there is the point of origin for Detroit.
At the juncture of Woodward and Monroe, this point is the center of Detroit’s road system, with Woodward, Lafayette, and Michigan Avenues forming spokes that lead out of downtown Detroit in different directions.
Across from the park is the Compuware building, the home of Detroit’s biggest high tech company, with a public lobby that includes restaurants and a remarkable water sculpture that towers over the area.
