New Web Site For Work Force Development Firm

Dearborn-based Educational Data Systems Inc. contracted Troy-based Awecomm Web Strategies to create a new Web site and online strategy. The move came after EDSI realized that the growth of its product line, their sales staff, and their business as a whole would soon outpace the capabilities of their current Web site.

“Our sales and marketing departments were undergoing a complete strategic analysis and overhaul,” said CEO Kevin Schnieders. “We knew that in order to achieve our sales objectives we needed someone to mold and apply our overarching business strategies to our online presence.”

By conducting a business analysis of EDSI’s client motivators, target markets, and online competitive landscape, Awecomm was able to provide a roadmap for EDSI’s online identity.

“EDSI provides custom services that their clients can design to fit their specific needs,” said Chris Spiek, managing partner of Awecomm Web Strategies. “Designing a user experience that was simple and clear was crucial to our success. The early planning stages of a Web site redesign are especially important with a project of this nature. ”

EDSI’s redesigned Web site includes a well-organized information architecture that reflects their services in a hierarchy that makes it easy for potential customers to understand. The home page has been redesigned to ensure that visitors can quickly find information relevant to their needs and clear calls-to-action have been introduced to promote online-to-offline sales inquires.
