McCain Bus Coming to Michigan

Adrian (WWJ\AP)  -- While Republican presidential nominee John McCain won't be in Michigan Thursday--his brother will.

Joe McCain and other GOP supporters will be on a bus tour that's scheduled to stop at Adrian College at 11 a.m. The bus made a stop Wednesday in Toledo.

John McCain spent Wednesday giving an economic speech at the Truman Library and Museum in Independence, Missouri.  On the subject of Congress' Wall Street rescue plan, McCain said the plan isn't perfect. But he says it does include taxpayer protections and other measures that weren't in the bill that fell flat Monday.

McCain said if they don't act, ``the gears of our economy will grind to a halt.''  McCain adds that his administration would apply ``new rules'' to Wall Street to end ``frenzies of speculation by people gaming the system.''
