NAWBO Marketing and Public Relations Workshops

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Detroit Chapter and NAWBO/EXCEL, its 501c3 organization, will present a series of marketing and public relations workshops for the Michigan business community. This three-part series will enhance your business marketing toolkit. All participants will leave with action plans to continue their projects and incorporate them into one’s business strategy.

The series of three workshops are scheduled as follows:

Must-Have Marketing Core Competencies for 21st Century Business Owners
April 10, 2008 from 8 – 11:30 a.m.
Miriam Muléy, The 85% Niche, LLC based in Grosse Pointe

What’s in Your PR Briefcase? Getting the Basics Together
May 8, 2008 from 1- 4:00 p.m.
Sue Voyles, Logos Communications, Inc. based in Canton

Before You Spend a Dollar - Learn the Three Secrets to Get Prospects to Buy:
Learn How to Craft Marketing Messages That Get Results
June 5, 2008 from 8 - 11:30 a.m.
Kim Crabtree, MetaOps based in Livonia

All sessions will take place at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois Road in Troy. The cost to attend the entire three-part integrated marketing communications series is $120. To attend one individual workshop, the cost is $50. Contact the NAWBO office at (313) 961-4748 or visit www.nawbogdc.org to register for the series. 

In addition to each session, participants can join a conference call to share their questions and ideas with workshop leaders and other participants. Those who participate in the three-part series will also have a face-to-face group critique session with the presenters and other resource professionals.
