Math Doesn't Suck
|
Actress Danica McKeller became famous on the television show the Wonder Years, but she went on to graduate with a degree in mathematics from UCLA, and is now an author and spokesperson for girls in math.
Her first book, Math Doesn’t Suck, encourages middle school girls to stick with their math classes and break the stereotype of math only being for nerds.
The sequel, Kiss My Math, helps students understand the material in their pre-algebra class. She plans a third book to help kids with algebra, which is where many young women and men tune out of the subject.
