Man Charged with Stealing Passenger Luggage

Romulus (WWJ)  -- A Westland man is facing charges of stealing items from passengers' luggage at Detroit Metro Airport.

30-year old William Joseph Moner was arrested May 10 by the Wayne County Sheriff Airport police at the McNamara Terminal.

Moner is an employee of Prospect Airport Services.  Authorities say he was spotted on a security camera removing a Sony digital camera from a suitcase and placing it in his personal backpack.

He's facing three counts of larceny and faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
