While it is a form of old school technology, using the scale at the produce section of the supermarket is a good way to help your child with fractions.
Children can be given a task of selecting a ½ pound of tomatoes, test their guess, and adjust the amount until they hit the target weight. Since the scales all measure by fractions of a pound, kids can get a good sense of which fractions are bigger than others, and also see that some fractions are equal, like 2/4 of a pound being ½ of a pound.
Since your child is weighing the fruits and vegetables, they may even be more likely to try them at home.
Here is a website that features fun math activities that you can do with your kids while shopping at the grocery store.
This website also shows fun ways to teach your child math.
