Leaving the Nest

It can be scary to think about sending your child abroad to study, whether in high school or college.

In many cases, parents and students worry that time abroad will put the student behind in relation to his or her peers, and lead to a delay in graduation.

However, there are many documented benefits to students going abroad for at least a term. Students who study abroad in college finish college at a higher rate than their peers who stay behind, and graduate with a higher GPA. International experience can also help your student’s future career or long-term educational goals as well.
