Learn From The Soil
|
Imagine a school curriculum centered on the idea that healthy bodies, hearts and minds begin in the soil. Imagine the ways such a curriculum would teach your children about history, economics, poetry, literature, mathematics, science and social studies.
Across the country, schools and communities are working to connect students and their families with real food ― grown themselves in school gardens or bought from local farmers.
Talk with your local school about how working in the garden can help your children solve problems from health concerns to environmental and social issues.
