If your student is just entering high school, now is a good time to set up a system to keep track of important documents and information for the college application process.
Often times, students are involved in club or community service activities early in high school that never make it on to a college application form.
KnowHowToGo.org, a leading website on college admissions, suggests setting up a file in 9th grade to include copies of report cards, lists of awards and honors, and lists of school and community activities in which you are involved, including both paid and volunteer work, and descriptions of what you do.
