Millions Of Historical Documents Online

Millions of free historical documents became available online just in time for Memorial Day. Last week, The National Archives announced it’s partnership with Ancestry.com.

Since 1998, Ancestry.com has digitized and indexed millions of National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) records creating the largest collection of NARA records online. The collection includes more than 750 million names and 70 million images in census, immigration and military records, among many others.

The database includes the world's largest online collection of military records, which includes more than 80 million NARA records from all major U.S. wars and conflicts. Other searchable databases include the World WarI Draft Registration Cards, U.S. WWII Army Enlistment Records, WWII Draft Registration Cards and U.S. Civil War Soldiers.

To view the historical documents and search the databases visit: Ancestry.com.
