Help Kids Get Used To College Early

School districts and teachers are introducing kids to college at earlier and earlier ages, hoping to inspire them to persevere in school, and to give them a vision of what they can achieve if they keep up their academic achievement. Elementary teachers are bringing students on visits to college campuses, to get them comfortable with the idea of being on campus. Some school districts, such as Wayne Westland, have opened their high school college fair to younger students and parents, bringing them to see the range of options available. You can do the same by bringing your child to events on campus, and by showing them a range of post secondary options they can pursue.
