Granholm: 'Haven't Been Asked To Join Obama Team'

Lansing (AP)  -- Governor Jennifer Granholm's name still is being mentioned for a possible Cabinet post in the administration of President-elect Barack Obama.

But the Democratic governor told reporters in a conference call Tuesday she's ``not aware'' that she's being vetted for any position in the Obama administration.

Granholm has been mentioned as a possible Energy or Labor secretary. She has been an advocate for ``green'' technology, including hybrid vehicles and plug-in cars, and is a member of Obama's Transition Economic Advisory Board.

Despite the speculation, Granholm said Tuesday she hasn't been ``asked to join the Obama team.''
