GiftZip.com Rolls Out New Web Site, HQ

GiftZip.com, a virtual kiosk featuring instant, emailable gift cards founded by Michigan native Sam Hogg, has released a new version and moved its headquarters into the East Lansing Technology and Innovation Center.

GiftZip.com was recruited to join the East Lansing center, which is aimed at aiding in the development of technology-based start-ups. After obtaining an office space, GiftZip.com hired four new employees in an effort to launch an updated version of the site, which premiered on June 2.

The most recent version of GiftZip.com sports a fresher look, with user-friendly navigation and helpful categories to browse the site’s more than 270 retailers. The launch was followed by an influx of traffic, and the site continues to attract thousands of unique users and hundreds of new retailer partners each month. GiftZip.com operates off of a Google-like revenue model, offering the service completely free to users and charging the retailers for the concentrated sales leads.

The company was recently sponsored by the Detroit Economic Club to be featured at The National Summit’s Innovation Exposition, held at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance, a result of their commitment to promoting technology and green related jobs and services, while keeping America competitive in a global economy. Other exhibitors included Dell, Microsoft, Dow Chemical, and Ford Motor Company. GiftZip.com was able to participate in this landmark event and received wonderful feedback from attendees.

Within the past few months, GiftZip.com has enjoyed much success within the business community. The company was honored as one of the six finalists in the Emerging Business category at the Great Lakes Entrepreneur Quest event and is one of 25 honorees at Michigan Business Review’s Innovation Michigan event, showcasing the best and brightest thinkers and ideas at Grand Valley State University on July 16.

GiftZip.com is in the business of connecting consumers to hundreds of retailers that offer eGift cards, promoting greener gift giving while eliminating the use of harmful plastics. GiftZip.com strives to save consumers time and money without sacrificing any of the shopping experience. For additional information visit www.GiftZip.com.
