Almost daily we're told in one form or fashion to take control of our health. So, why aren't more of us doing so? One Lansing health care specialist suggests that two reasons may be fear and physical condition. Others, believes Dr. Damita Zweiback, may look to external controls like the environment in which they live as what holds them back.
But, Zweiback believes that people can take control. She suggests banding together and demanding, for example, a supermarket in the neighborhood.
