Gas Prices Keep Falling

Dearborn (WWJ)  -- Gas prices continue to slide, due largely to falling demand.

According to AAA Michigan's latest survey, gas prices have fallen 40 cents per gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $3.07.

The cheapest price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Detroit area, where it's $2.98 a gallon, though WWJ's Ron Dewey was at a Clark gas station at 10 Mile and Ryan roads, where gas was selling for $2.69 a gallon.

The highest average can be found in the Marquette area at $3.35.  The statewide average for biodiesel is $3.91 and $2.68 for ethanol.
