Fun And Games For Math
|
The Illuminations website of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, has featured games and activities to help kids master key math concepts.
One is “how many under the shell,” in which a cartoon octopus attempts to guess how many items are hidden under a sea shell. This requires some quick addition and subtraction, which makes this game a good review of these skills for kids in elementary school.
You can make the game more or less challenging by adjusting the number of shells, and whether the game involves multiplication, subtraction, or both.
