Detroit (WWJ) -- Former Fox-2 morning anchor Fanchon Stinger is breaking her silence in connection with allegations of involvement in a Detroit contract that's under investigation by the FBI.
In a statement, Stinger said "allegations pertaining to her personal involvement with Synagro are misleading and without factual basis."
She also called recent comments about her "tawdry and scandalous." The FBI is investigating allegations of possible bribery of some City Council members in relation to a sludge hauling contract with Texas-based, Synagro Technologies.
It was recently revealed that Stinger's consulting company was hired by Synagro to place ads in the media.
