Southfield (WWJ) -- The FBI is hoping for the public's help in catching a bank robber dubbed the "Back Pack" bandit.
Agents say the man first attempted to rob the Chase Bank in Dearborn Heights last Thursday and then robbed the Charter One Bank in Berkley on Wednesday.
In the Dearborn Heights case the bank hadn't opened for the day. The suspect did get away with an unknown amount of money from the Berkley bank.
The FBI says the suspect is a black male, thin and between 5' 10" and six feet tall. He wears dark clothing, tennis shoes and a black mask described as "looking like a Ninja."
The man carried a back pack and may be driving a late model 1990's Ford Taurus.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP or the FBI at 313-965-2323.
