TechTown, Confucius Institute organizing Chinese business club: TechTown and the Wayne State University Confucius Institute are organizing a Chinese Business Club, and it's holding its inaugural meeting at TechOne on Thursday, May 15. The club will host a free breakfast meeting each month. Each forum will feature a different speaker and discussion topics will include all aspects of Chinese business practices, business law and culture, business opportunities and import and export law. The inaugural meeting will feature an authentic Chinese breakfast and a presentation from Robert Thomas, dean of the Wayne State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, on the global economy. The event runs from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at TechOne, 440 Burroughs St., Detroit. To RSVP, contact Jashawnda Golson at jgolson@techtownwsu.org by May 8.

Ward's sets auto interiors show: The annual Ward’s Auto Interiors Show is coming to Cobo Center June 4-5 with  exhibitors, speakers and programs addressing the increasingly high-tech nature of the inside of our vehicles. A feature is the annual Ward's Interior of the Year Award, choosing a winner from among 36 models nominated. More at  www.autointeriors.com.

(NYSE: SYK) said Monday it would aprticipate in the following investor conferences: May 1, Morgan Stanley Global Healthcare Unplugged Conference, 8 a.m. Eastern time, Key Biscayne, Fla.; May 14, Bank of America 2008 Healthcare Conference, 9:30 a.m. Eastern time, Las Vegas, Nev.; and May 15, Robert W. Baird 2008 Growth Stock Conference, 11:05 a.m. Eastern time, Chicago, Ill. Simultaneous Webcasts of the Company's presentations will be available on Stryker's Web site at www.stryker.com. The presentations for both the Morgan Stanley and the Robert W. Baird conferences will be archived for 30 days. The presentation for the Bank of America conference will be archived for 16 days.
