Encourage Writing for Success in College

Successful college writers are flexible and invested. They know that writing takes time and energy, and that they need to care about what they write.
College students write lab reports, literary analyses, research papers, opinion pieces, e-mails, blog entries, and more.
To prepare your high school student to be a successful college writer, encourage her to write about things she is interested in, write in a variety of ways, write every day, and to revise her work.
