Almost 71 percent said it would be very difficult or somewhat difficult for them to meet their financial obligations if their paychecks were delayed by a week.
Nearly 50 percent said the Social Security system should be changed to allow employees to invest part of their Social Security contributions in private investment accounts.
Only about 43 percent said their companies offer a defined benefit retirement plan, but 89 percent said their companies offer a defined contribution plan, such as a 401(k) plan.
