EcoV Drawing Investor Interest

Electric car entrepreneur Richard Marks says he's finally raising money -- from individuals -- for his EcoV Electric city car.

Marks credits both earlier coverage in the IT Report and a visit to last weekend's Michigan Energy Fair in Onekama with producing 43 potential $2,000 investors in his Grosse Pointe Woods-based Environmental Transportation Solutions LLC.

At the energy fair, Marks said, "The frustration of the public for environmental transportation solutions, which matches our company's name was very apparent. While EcoV did not meet everyone's needs, it certainly did meet everyone's desire to see something real happen and not wait for the OEM's."

Marks also gave a workshop at the energy fair on converting gas cars to electric which are safe and reliable, was "standing room only," and Marks said the conversion vehicle (a '97 Chevy Cavalier) "was a hit." EcoV was also a hit, based on invsetor response.

Marks is still looking for investors in his company. More at www.ecovelectric.com or www.ecovelectric.blogspot.com.
