Don't Forget Your Veggies



It is back to school time, so think about healthy snacks for your child to eat at lunch or bring to school. Most children do not get enough fruit and vegetable servings per day, so try to work them into the lunch and snack rotation.

Some schools, such an Ann Arbor Public Schools, have created a healthy foods bar of fruits and vegetables at lunchtime for kids to graze on without charge, encouraging them to have something good every day.

So whether it is bought, brought or free, help your child get the five servings they need each day of fruits and veggies.
