Comics To Help Kids Learn
|
One way to engage students in writing is to let them write and explore in a genre that speaks to them. For many students, comic books and comic strips may be closer to their taste than many chapter books.
Web sites such as MakeBeliefsComix.com lets students use 15 pre-drawn characters to create their own two, three or four panel comic strip. Kids can make the cartoons talk and think in bubbles and even change the emotions of the characters in the story.
To publish their work to family and friends, comics can be printed or emailed.
