St. John Health Picks Cielo: Ann Arbor-based Cielo MedSolutions, a provider of health care software and Web applications, today announced that St. John HealthPartners has signed a purchase agreement to acquire licenses of the web-based Cielo Clinic software. Cielo Clinic is a clinical quality management system that proactively manages the care needs of medical practice and health system patients through a patient registry, a clinical decision support engine and population management functionality. St. John HealthPartners is the physician hospital organization comprised of St. John Health and more than 2,200 physicians on its local medical staffs.  St. John Health, a ministry of Ascension Health, is comprised of seven hospitals and more than 125 medical facilities in Southeast Michigan.  The newly signed agreement allows St. John HealthPartners to acquire the Cielo Clinic software not only for the primary care clinics operated by St. John Health, but for the network of affiliated, private medical practices also included in St. John HealthPartners. Cielo MedSolutions (pronounced "see EL oh," Spanish for sky or heaven) is a rapidly-growing provider of healthcare software and Web applications.  Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Cielo is pioneering a new category of healthcare IT known as clinical quality management systems. State of Michigan picks MessageWay: Livonia-based MessageWay Solutions, a developer of advanced managed file transfer software, Tuesday announced that the state of Michigan has selected MessageWay for Advanced Manage File Transfer as its enterprise-wide, open standards-based platform to improve information sharing across state and federal agencies.MessageWay's open platform was selected for its ability to manage high-volumes of file exchange and provide flexible, secure internet connectivity.
