Stone gets Hiller Web deal: Ann Arbor-based Hiller's Markets has chosen Ann Arbor-based Stone Interactive Group to redesign its corporate Web site, www.hillers.com. Stone will provide design, architecture, and development services to bring a new site online in midsummer 2008. The site will boast enhanced tools and features, including an interactive blog, online recipes and other elements to allow shoppers easier access to their favorite items and food-related resources. Sidney Hiller started Hiller’s as a details-focused butcher shop in 1941 in Detroit. When his son Jim took over the business in the 1980s, he continued the "treat-customers-like-family" service, but upgraded the stores to one-stop-shopping for everyone’s needs. Today, the company offers a large selection of gourmet, natural, specialty, ethnic, gluten-free and kosher items. Hiller's stores are in Ann Arbor, Berkley, Commerce Township, Northville, Plymouth and West Bloomfield Township. The newest location is its second Commerce Township store, on the west side of Union Lake Road just south of Commerce Road. More about the vendor at www.stoneig.com.
