WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush will travel to Michigan next week to headline a Republican fundraising dinner in Livonia.
The White House says Bush will attend the Max M. Fisher National Republican Award Dinner on Wednesday.
The dinner will help Republicans during the upcoming election in Michigan, which is expected to be a battleground state between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama.
Michigan Republican Party chairman Saul Anuzis says the party has received a good response about the dinner, which will cost $1,000 a person or $5,000 to attend a reception before the dinner.
