Blueberries, A Healthy Snack

If you are looking for a good way to get your child a nutritious snack, think about blueberries. Blueberries are a low-calorie food with many health benefits, and one cup gives you 79 calories.

Blueberries are high in antioxidants, which destroy free radicals. Blueberries have a high-fiber content, four grams per serving, and contain tannins that can relieve constipation, promote good digestion and reduce inflammation.

Plus, they are good for both your child’s bones and for yours. They are the perfect part of a breakfast, by themselves or on top of cereal.
