Pancakes and Politics

The Michigan Chronicle and sister company - Real Times Media announced today that the celebrated forum Pancakes & Politics will return with another four-part series in March 2008. Promising more pertinent discussion on hot topics that affect the metro-Detroit community, the series will highlight a variety of current, pressing business, civic and political issues.

The Michigan Chronicle and Real Times Media launched the series in 2006 and brought together a successful media partnership between the newspaper, CBS/CW, Crain's Detroit Business and WWJ-AM. All media partners have signed on for the third season. The Michigan Chronicle will once again serve as the host, and the series will continue to air on the CBS/CW network's Michigan Matters television show.

"Pancakes and Politics serves as a needed venue for generating new ideas and provoking thoughts that will continue to push our community forward," said Michigan Chronicle Publisher Sam Logan. "As a voice in the community, Pancakes and Politics is positioned to be a true multimedia resource to meet our audience within any communication platform."

The forums will take place on March 20, April 18, May 15 and June 19 of 2008 at both the prestigious DAC in Detroit, Michigan and for the first time the Townsend Hotel, in Birmingham, Michigan. Individual tickets can be purchased for $65 per forum, which includes a six-month subscription to the Michigan Chronicle.; Sponsorships are also available. For more information, or to become a sponsor go to www.michronicleonline.com or call Michelle Lynn Washington at (877) 979-5500.
