An easy way to think about your child’s health and nutrition is 521 Almost None.
Developed by the Nemours Foundation Health and Prevention Services, 521 Almost None stands for 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, two or fewer hours of screen time (television, video games and computer), one or more hours of physical activity, and almost no sugary beverages, such as soda or fruit drink.
Studies have found that most kids in our community are not eating the five servings, and many have double the recommended computer time, and less than ½ the amount of physical activity.
