Amber Alert For Dearborn Heights Girl Cancelled

Dearborn Heights (WWJ)  -- The Amber Alert for a little girl from Dearborn Heights is over.  Police located Megan Tardiff and her one year old daughter, McKenzie, at a friends house in Riverview.

Dearborn Heights police say both the mother and girl are fine.

Police say Megan Tardiff indicated she left because of a "domestic situation."  She has been in contact with her husband.

The alert was posted Thursday evening after Tardiff's car was found at a home on Parker Street near Telegraph and Annapolis.

Police say Megan Tardiff was recently released from a hospital for psychological problems and has attempted suicide in the past.  Investigators are expected to continue an investigation to determine if the child can remain in her care.
