Westland (WWJ) -- Local business owners are using Facebook to make unusual dreams come true.
Shirley Courlas is in a Westland Hospice. She turns 90 on October 31, Hallowe'en.
So what does the former Detroit teacher--and one-time biker--want for her birthday? She wants a ride on a Harley-Davison motorcycle.
Hearing about Courlas's birthday wish, Traci Rusk, a registered nurse at the hospice, logged onto Facebook to try and help. She wound up connecting with local businessman Leo Capazoli, who's going to take Shirley for a spin on Saturday.
The ride is no ordinary "Hog"--it's got a side car. The ride is this Saturday at 1:45 p.m., and they're hoping to find some church choirs to come sing birthday wishes to Shirley.
