2009 Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair




Join WWJ Newsradio 950 at the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair July 15th - 18th, an impressive outdoor art festival showcasing the best in fine art and fine crafts. This award-winning, juried fair features ceramics, painting, jewelry, sculpture, photography, glass, wood, fiber and much more!

Fairgoers can also enjoy lively street corner entertainment, artists’ demonstrations, children’s activities and the distinctive shops and restaurants of Ann Arbor. The convenient Art Fair Shuttle with two park and ride locations brings you into the heart of the fair.

New this year, they welcome a special visit from the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Tour, which celebrates the beauty and power of the animal world. It's a walk on the wild side for the whole family. The Wild Kingdom Tour will be at the corner of Main and William streets.  Don't miss this unique and important exhibit.

Of course with any event this size, a few roads will have to be closed.  Here's a list of planned closures to steer around starting at 7am Tuesday through noon Sunday:

  • Liberty between S. State and Ashley
  • N. University between Fletcher and State
  • S. University Washtenaw and Tappan
  • E. University between S. University and Willard
  • William between State and Thompson
  • Jefferson between Maynard and Thompson
  • Main between Huron and William
  • Thompson between Liberty and William
  • Maynard between Liberty and Jefferson
  • S. State between Washington and S. University
  • Church between Willard and the U-M parking lot on the north
  • Thayer between N. University and E. Washington
  • E. Washington between Thayer and Fletcher
