2008 Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix


The Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix will be held on Labor Day Weekend ( August 29-August 31).  The Grand Prix will be featuring the cars of the American Le Mans Series, the IndyCar Series and the SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT Championship and will be held at the raceway at Belle Isle Park road course.  Friday August 29 will kick off the weekend with the Free Prix day, presented by comerica Bank. 

The gates will be opening at 8:00 a.m. every day and on Friday, the gate admission is free of charge and there will open seating in select grandstands.  Throughout the weekend, there will be several events between the races including concerts, meijer family fun zone activitie and driver autograph sessions.

Be sure to stop by the WWJ Newsradio 950 booth during the festivities.  We'll be broadcasting live from 5 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, and from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, so stop by to meet our on-air personalities.  Plus, we'll have fun activities, giveaways and much more!
